Ike Olson is an amazing arborist. He really knows his trees and has years of experience. I would highly recommend him for any questions at all about trees and for questions relating to treating them for disease. He has done an outstanding job keeping the huge ash tree alive that my son's fort is in (son now 35) as well as a large beech tree alive that I planted with my Dad when we moved into our house. I highly recommend him. He is also highly skilled at tree service work and I consider him an artist in terms of selectively pruning the 160 year old maples in front of our house as well as pointing out and remedying some risk from a large hemlock behind our house.

A few years ago we were in need of a professional service to inspect trees on our property and to perform necessary trimming or removal. We obtained estimates from three services and found Keystone to be the most thorough in their inspection and the most reasonably priced for the work we needed. What I valued most was that Ike took every effort to preserve trees that were healthy. This saved us the considerable cost of removal. Ike installed a cable between two of the trees to better protect our home and our neighbors property. The work was performed on schedule and within the cost that was quoted. I was very pleased with the clean up when the work was completed. Ike went the extra step to provide fertilizer and care instructions. We just had Ike back for another inspection to make sure that all of our trees are safe and healthy. I recommend Keystone without hesitation. Ike took care of a particularly tricky maple tree for me years ago. It was a three-pronger, three full grown trees in one trunk with diameter of no less than 16” each at a 75’ height. I was reminded of Tarzan of the Apes as he swung from tree to tree within the triad trunk. Unlike Tarzan of the Apes, his was not a grunt work process, but a tactically administered operation—a surgical slash here, a strategic slice there. The rope work was a ballet. His was a well considered vital mission to safely bring down this beautiful but dangerous tree, employing both skill and art. I love trees and this monster would have still been with us had it not been so very sick. Ike quickly put the tree out if it’s misery and most likely saved my house which lay under it. Although I enthusiastically thanked him at the time, I now offer My Ike a long overdue public THANK YOU!
